From the moment their bold debut track ‘Fuck With Someone Else’ dropped in  2014, a shroud of mystery has been sweeping the underground hidden behind the moniker ‘GANGLY‘.

Later revealed to be the project of Reykjavik musicians Jofridur (Samaris), Sindri (Seabear/Sin Fang) and Ulfur (Oyama), the trio’s music has been speaking enough for itself to more than cover for the scant information that surrounds them. Having since put out three further singles, GANGLY have cemented themselves as masters of taking sparse snapping beats and consuming them with layers of icy synth lines and lush vocals to create a frosty sound lying somewhere between grooving RnB and more ambient electronica.

With each track showcasing the band’s prowess in electronic minimalism and capturing the darkened air of their hometown luminaries – think Kiasmos and Vök, the trio slide in effortlessly amongst the emerging likes of GKR and Reykjavíkurdætur who are currently giving Icelandic hip hop an unlikely place on the map.

Alongside their sounds, the outfit grace the world with a championed live show, premiered at Iceland Airwaves back in 2015 complete with crafted unnerving visuals to match their videos, and is currently being taken around Europe alongside Berlin musician Lea Porcelain, with their debut stint in London hitting Omeara this week – tour dates below:

26/04 – Omeara, LONDON

29/04 – Point Ephemere, PARIS

24/06 – Roskilde, DENMARK
